Glengowrie Tap Water (approximate location)

TFA (Trifluroacetic Acid)

Glengowrie-Tap water. TFA 72.3 ng/l.

“As the drinking water supply from both suburbs is drawn from the Happy Valley Reservoir (primary Mt Bold catchment: rural/residential sources), the Murray River (Australia’s longest river system: rural/agricultural and urban/residential inputs), Mount Lofty reservoirs (primary natural rainfall runoff and pumped River Murry water: rural/agricultural and urban/residential inputs), and the Adelaide Desalination Plant, this notable disparity is potentially indicative that at least one of these water sources contains more TFA than the urban Sturt River. As such, the initial findings reported herein warrant a verification of TFA levels in the aforementioned feedwater sources. Furthermore, seasonal sample collection from point-of-use tap water in other South Australian suburbs is also highly recommended.”
