3/4/2025: Campvale Canal, Medowie (NSW)

We recently collected a water sample from Campvale Drain, located just down from the Medowie Waste Water Pumping Station. The water sample contained two different ways of analysing PFAS/PFOA and also checked for e-coli and coliforms. The coliforms found in the water appear to be at very high levels, although not for e-coli. Additionally, PFAS/PFOA readings appear to be within current fresh water guidelines, which we’re a little surprised about given the slight bubbling visible in the sample below and the presence of a thin chemical film on top of the sample.
