In 2018, PFAS was detected for the first time in groundwater in a bore located 2 km to the west ofthe western Site boundary (Bore 6, 0.03 μg/L sum of PFHxS and PFOS) and also in a monitoring well adjacent the north-eastern corner of AACO (MWO-F-AL, 0.06 μg/L sum of PFHxS andPFOS). PFAS concentrations in these bores in April/May 2019 were below the limit of reporting. The variable detection may indicate the extent of PFAS in groundwater is close to the position of these bores.
